Over 60 are families enrolled in our Special Needs Program. The majority of these families have a child needing ongoing specialized medical care. On top of the intense poverty of these families, the cost in time and money to care for these needs puts the family at risk for their very survival. For many of these children, the medical problem actually stems from malnutrition and other poverty related issues. We are already starting to see a number of success stories - children whose lives have been drastically turned around due to better nutrition, vitamins, and access to medical care.
